The Not-So-Distant Future

30 Day Writing Challenge – Day 30

List your goals for the next 30 days.

I don’t usually set concrete goals because I’m lazy and the inevitable feeling of failure is far too overwhelming. However, I guess I can still list a few things that I’ve been working on that, if completed within the next 30 days, would make me feel like less of a failure and more like an intellectual badass.

Blog. This writing challenge has renewed my love for blogging, which is exactly what I hoped it would do. I hope to keep this up. Just at a slower pace.

Exercise. I’ve been slacking off lately, so I need to tackle my workout routine again. Being strong is rewarding, though I still have trouble opening heavy doors.

Eat Cleaner. I recently discovered I really like salad. Unfortunately for my potential salad bod, I also recently discovered I love pies. Life is cruel.

Don’t Die. Or chip a tooth or break my nose or injure myself in any way. These are the things that keep me awake at night. If I’m gonna reach my goals in the next 30 days, continuing life would be ideal.

Read More Books. I have a library of books in my room that have gone untouched for years. I also have a list of things I need to read. Working in a library is not keeping my list slim… So stay tuned! Book reviews to follow!

Pull Off an Insane Bank Heist. It doesn’t even have to be a bank. My heist can be conducted at any business. As long as I can successfully pull it off. I may need to gather a small, elite group of talented and trustworthy misfits to help me out with this one, but the payoff will be incredible.

Learn to Dance. Every time I hit the dance floor in public, the only thing I can manage is an uncoordinated Cupid Shuffle. I’m pretty good at hula hoop dancing, but hoops are never at weddings, and I’ve only found one bar that trusts drunks enough to swing them around.

Google Analytics Certification. Getting this certification would teach me a lot of the things I would need to know if I choose to get into the computer marketing industry. It will also look great on my résumé. I hear this test is difficult, so I’m going to have to study for this one for a while. Hopefully I can get certified without ripping out too much of my glorious mane.

Avoid Prison. I’ve done a pretty good job of this so far. I hope to continue my free streak after pulling my elaborate bank/casino/nursing home/garage heist.

Hopefully I can keep the next 30 days fairly productive. But please don’t hold me to all of these. I tend to lose my inspiration quickly.
